ESTIMATOR POSITION

At T&M Equipment Corporation, we know that our employees are our greatest asset and we are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Estimator to join our office team. You can look forward to being in the forefront of bidding decisions and involved in all aspects and details of the bidding phases.

DESCRIPTION: DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyze drawings, specifications, site conditions and other documentation to perform take-offs and quantities which will be utilized to formulate accurate and competitive bid estimates and proposals.

  • Prepare detailed cost analysis by estimating equipment, material, and labor requirements for each project

  • Collaborate with senior leadership on the overall process and Participate in meetings to review estimates and proposals within the company

  • Receive bid invitations; attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, verify the number of competitors; review bid documents and generate estimates

  • Prepare for and participate in pre-bid and post-bid meetings with the general contractor/construction manager.

  • Work with computer programs like Microsoft Word/Excel, AutoCAD, & Construction Manager software

  • Oversee the completion of each project in accordance with contract documents, ensuring compliance with all contract documents.

  • Build key customer relationships to maintain a good position in the business market.

 

 

POSITION REQUIEMENTS: QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10 years’ experience in construction

  • Proficiency in interpreting and understanding any and all construction documents related to each project

  • Knowledge of materials, equipment, related codes and permits used in the civil construction process

  • Proficient in CAD software applications including AutoCAD or Carlson.

  • Proficient with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and other software used in the construction industry.

  • Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills

  • Must be able to work from an engineered survey

  • Proficient with plans, specifications, contracts, etc.

  • Must have verifiable references

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Full time position
